Welcome Back
Kat Martin

Kat Martin!

We welcome back Kat Martin today to celebrate the release of her book,
The Christmas Clock
The Christmas Clock
in paperback!
This is definitely a don't miss book!

“Is being an author as glamorous as it sounds?”

That is a question I can’t imagine anyone asking and yet some people think it’s true. Glamorous? Sitting behind a computer screen all day editing the words you thought were brilliant yesterday and today seem idiotic? Spending an extra hour after work writing a blog because you want people to know you have a book coming out instead of sitting down on the couch with a well-deserved glass of wine? Ending the day with eye strain and a headache?

Or worse yet, staring at the blank screen trying for hours to think of something to say?

The truth is writing is far more work than glamour. Especially when you tackle something new as I did with THE CHRISTMAS CLOCK. This story was different, much more difficult, a concept that began with an adorable old woman named Lottie Sparks who is stricken with Alzheimer’s and her grandson, Teddy, soon to be orphaned unless Lottie can find him a loving home. Lottie’s friends, Syl Winters and Joe Dixon, became the focus of the romance in the story and the core of the book.

Working in my spare time, it took me two years to finish THE CHRISTMAS CLOCK, but when the book was complete, I felt as if I had written a story that was really worthwhile.

I hope you’ll watch for THE CHRISTMAS CLOCK and that after the holidays, you’ll keep an eye out for my Raines Brothers Trilogy, which starts January 1st with Jackson Raines in AGAINST THE WIND.

Till then, Happy Holidays and all best wishes, Kat

Oh, let's not forget that she has a very cool contest going on right now to celebrate the release of The Christmas Clock! She's giving away a Pfaltzgraff Village Snow Globe!
