Here's what the guest bloggers wrote for you:

The harvest moon shimmered bright behind thick billowing clouds. Shadows hung within shadows along the roadway. The hair on Beth's arms stood up, her feet snapping quickly against pavement, berating herself for not checking the gas gauge. A twig snapped.

Beth spun around fear grabbing her heart in a vise. She could sense him rather than see him. She reached out with her mind to find what might be out among the shadows. His thoughts were far from violent but they are intense. He was hunting, but not for food.

His desire was a potent scent and it pulled her in. What was wrong with her? She should be terrified in her situation, in the dead of night, but here she was enthralled by a stranger. When he stepped out of the shadows, highlighted by the glow of the moon, she knew her fate was sealed.

Blood coated the front of his jacket, smeared his sleeves. But this was not the first thing she noticed. Instead it was the strange yellow pupils that watched her so intently, and, as he opened his mouth to speak, she saw a set of teeth that should not belong in the head of any man – even one as striking as this.

"You shouldn't be here." Her teeth chattered together like mariachis as he took a step forward with muddy bare feet showing at the hem of his torn jeans. Her heart pounded wildly against her ribs threatening to explode from her chest. "I…my car…gas." His brow raised as humor pulled at the corner of his lips.

Beth stepped away, her back hitting the cold wall. No escape. He moved closer, his potent scent sending her sex drive into overload. She bit her bottom lip and lifted her chin to meet his gaze. His bloodstained tongue swept across his fangs. A low growl rumbled from his chest.

She shouldn't feel this way, she knew. She should scream. Or run. Fight back. But she didn't. Couldn't. His mouth was only a breath away and her tongue snaked out, moistening her lips. Then his lips met hers. Warm and wet. Her heart pounded in her ears as she felt her body melting, glad for the wall behind her and his body before her.

Beth didn’t think about the blood, ignored the metallic scent and concentrated on his hard, muscled chest. Any moment now she’d be his next victim. Pulse pounding, a tingling sensation began in her nose and she pulled away seconds before the sneeze overtook her. Desperate to recapture the embrace, she turned her head only to see the familiar faces of the guests at the Halloween party. Her heart prickled with disappointment that the intense longing had been fantasy, yet… Her gaze met that of a yellow-eyed wolfman across the room. As he approached her with determined steps, a wash of heat coursed through her, tingling in all the right places. Time to make a little Halloween magic of her own. Who said fantasies had to stay in daydreams?

I hope you enjoyed their combined story! Each paragraph was written by a different guest blogger. Now, just for fun, it's your job to tell me who you "think" wrote each paragraph. On November 1st, I'll draw winners and announce which authors wrote which paragraphs so you can see how close you were to getting it right! Winners will be drawn at random and NOT because of correctness of guessing which authors wrote which paragraphs.

Tantalizing Tuesday

Please welcome H.C. Brown into the moonlight. H.C. is the author of numerous books. Check out her blogspot to learn more. Now, grab a cup of your favorite brew, sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know H.C.!

GRACEN: Do you have a movie that you must watch every Halloween? What's your favorite scary movie? Do you have a favorite scary character or character type?

H.C.: Halloween of course and you can’t go past Jason.

GRACEN: Do you dress up for Halloween? If so, what will you be dressed up as this year? What was your all-time most favorite costume that you ever wore? Why?

H.C.: We don’t celebrate Halloween in Australia, well not the same as you do. For me it’s All Hallows.

GRACEN: Are you superstitious? Do you find yourself knocking on wood or throwing salt over your shoulder? If not one of these two, what is your superstition?

H.C.: All of the above and more. I won’t mix red and white flowers in the same bunch as they are bad luck. Love black cats though.

GRACEN: Do you believe in ghosts? If so, have you ever had a ghostly encounter and tell us about it?

H.C.: Yes, I believe in ghosts. As most people, the first time I thought I was imagining things. The house I lived in at the time was old. I would see a man in a check shirt with blond hair waiting at the foot of the stairs. I never mentioned it to anyone, then my daughter asked me if I had ever seen a man standing at the bottom of the stairs. Later, I discovered both my boys had seen him too. He wasn’t scary. I felt sorry for him to be honest. To answer your next question, no he didn’t communicate with any of us. I doubt he knew we existed.

GRACEN: Tell us 3 funny or strange things that happened to you, or someone you know, on past Halloweens?

H.C.: I have only one strange thing. We light candles on All Hallows to ward off evil spirits. One Halloween with all the doors and windows closed, all the candles went out at the same instant.

GRACEN: If you could be any paranormal creature, what would it be and why?

H.C.: A faerie. Well mainly because in my books they have all the fun. =)
Then I could put a spell on all the e-pirates—if it ever happens watch, out trust me bits of you will fall off.

GRACEN: Swashbuckling pirates like Johnny Depp are sexy, but e-pirates are not. How do you handle e-pirates in your writing world? Do you have any advice or wish to share any experience with other writers? Anything you wish to say to e-pirates in general?

H.C.: It makes me want to quit writing.
To those who steal from me I would like to say.
E Authors offer their readers great stories at a very small price. We work VERY hard to write stories and then you steal from us. Do you think we make hundreds of dollars?— Well we don’t. You say you love our books well PAY for them and support us. I put out a book for 99c and you were too mean to pay for that, you had to steal it as well. This problem will be resolved and I hope the governments of your countries put you all in prison.

AND To those lovely people who buy my books I say, know that I write only for you and I wish you all good health and happiness. =)

GRACEN: Now, let’s get to your writing, H.C….Why the paranormal genre? What was the draw for you?

H.C.: Paranormal and fantasy gives me the freedom to go where I want in my writing. I want to build fantastic worlds and take my readers with me. I like to make my hero different from real life— a man we can all dream about.

GRACEN: If you could describe your paranormal writing with a word or phrase, what would it be? Please be creative and look beyond words like vampire, werewolf, etc., and delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they've finished reading your story.

H.C.: Always leave the reader wanting more.

GRACEN: Do you prefer playing tricks on people or bestowing treats? Does that show through in your writing? If so, how?

H.C.: I’m a giver. I get great pleasure out of giving, if it’s my time or my expertise or by giving a gift. I hope I give my readers a warm glow.

GRACEN: Who decides what creatures you write about, you or your muse? What kind of influence do you have over your story, or is the muse always the one stirring the cauldron?

H.C.: The Muse and dreams. I dream a lot of my characters and then the Muse give them substance. They are all, VERY real to me.

GRACEN: What was the creature/paranormal character that you had the most fun creating and why? Who—to you—was the sexiest character you wrote and why?

H.C.: Nox, the king of the Fae from the Pride Brothers and The Chronicles of Fae series is a very sexy faerie. I saw a delicious man across a crowded room that oozed so much sex appeal that one look gave me Nox. Of course, Nox is entirely fiction but as most authors there is always a trigger and that stranger was all I needed.

GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why? Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?

H.C.: I would love to meet Dare from Purr-fect Seduction. He was my first shape shifter and lived in my head for about three years. I’d like to say, ‘thanks’.
I’d hate to run into a Ram, any of them. They take females for sex slaves—say no more.

H.C- Bite Here, Too is due for release on 26 October. It is a Halloween themed anthology with Stormy Glenn. http://www.nobleromance.com/

BLURB:
Enslaved by H.C. Brown
At midnight on All Hallows Eve, the Gates between the realms are wide open. Good and evil in equal measure seek to slake their desire. Be careful for what you wish for Humans, once the Gates shut, there is no going back.

Blood Sacrifice by Stormy Glenn
Being a demon isn't always fun. Being a demon summoned to a satanic ritual is downright miserable. Isaac Braden spends most of his time being a rich recluse but every so often he's introduced to someone new when he's summoned… a blood sacrifice. And tonight Jory Daniels has been chosen to be that sacrifice.

In a satanic ritual summoning gone bad, Isaac finds himself eternally bound to Jory. He has to have the man's blood in order to survive. But when Jory wants something in return, can Isaac submit enough to allow it or will his demon nature take over and cause him to lose the best thing that ever happened to him?

H.C. – Thanks for having me today.

GRACEN: Wow, both of those sound like fantastic, exciting reads! Just in case any of you readers missed it, here's the LINK once more to buy this fascinating book. Thanks for joining us, H.C. It's always a pleasure to have you with us. Best of success with all your releases!

A reminder to all readers, check back on Sunday, October 31st, to view the surprise all of our guest bloggers have worked on so hard for YOU!!! It's our Halloween gift to YOU!!!

SUPERNATURAL SUNDAY

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, MOONLIGHTERS!!!

Valentine's Day is known as the day of love, a day to show how much you love someone and what better way to celebrate it here in the Moonlight than with a burning hot, erotic paranormal romance, written by fellow Noble Romance author, H.C. Brown. Ms. Brown is the author of Purr-fect Seduction, Forbidden Love, Betrothed to the Enemy, A Long Hot Delicious Slide, Hot Damn--that cover art had me saying HOT DAMN! =) --and her newest release to come on February 17th, My Purr-fect Alphas, which is a sequel to Purr-fect Seduction. To learn more about Ms. Brown or her books, visit her blog:

~~~~~
GRACEN: There are many relationship superstitions out there such as, “rain on your wedding day is bad luck,” are you superstitious when it comes to love or relationships? Why or why not? If so, what superstitions do you believe have merit?
H.C.: I am very superstitious, my grandmother was a true, card reading, fortune telling gypsy from the UK. I made the front page of the newspaper when a couple of reporters decided to test my well-known, psychic abilities. Unfortunately, I can't foretell my own future or give lotto numbers.
Superstitions from my grandmother are in the hundreds. These come to mind:
1. Never take red and white flowers to the hospital- they bring death.
2. Change your clothes and change your luck.
3. Right palm itches you pay out money opposite for the left.
4. Birds flying to the right brings good fortune.
5. Wish only on a full moon.
GRACEN: Do you believe in ghosts?
H.C.: Yes I know they exist. I believe in good and evil spirits.
GRACEN: Do you believe in the power of love? If so, do you think that love can exist beyond this life and carry over into the next or has the power to keep a soul attached to the mortal coil never to cross over?
H.C.: I think love is the most powerful emotion of all. I don't believe we have the power or the need to attach to a mortal coil. I personally believe our Guardian Angels are loved ones who have passed over. Their love protects us during our life.
GRACEN: Do you believe that ghosts have the ability to effect humans in a sexual manner?
H.C.: No not at all – I believe in the purity of the soul.
GRACEN: For years, romance readers have experienced flack from non-romance readers saying or implying, “that’s just porn for women.” What can you say that might help non-romance readers understand the current essence of the romance genre?
H.C.: I think romance readers are dreamers; they like to lose themselves in a world of the perfect hero, the perfect romance. Some just like the romance in more detail. It's no different to any other genre, all stories have their worth to the reader.
For example: Sometimes I write M/M stories, I'm not gay but to me love is love . I think a love story between two men is as beautiful as any other.
GRACEN: Now, let’s get to your writing…What genre is your work considered to be? Why this genre? What was the draw for you?
H.C.: I write romance in the following genres: Paranormal, historical, fantasy, urban fantasy, mystery. I write erotic, Sweet, YA and children's fantasy. I love fantasy/paranormal mainly because I am only limited by my imagination. To be able to create a world and people is exciting to me and feeds my Muse.
GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with a word or phrase, what would it be? Please be creative and delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they've finished reading your story.
H.C.: I've just stepped from a world of faeries, shape-shifters and alternate dimensions.
GRACEN: Do you prefer romantic gifts (flowers, chocolate, jewelry, etc.) or romantic acts (massages, dinners, fun night out, etc.)? Does that show through in your writing? If so, how?
H.C.: I'm not really interested in gifts it puts a price on love. Acts yes, I'm a kiss and cuddle girl. I hope love and tenderness shows in my books.
GRACEN: What school of thought are you when it comes to romance, love at first sight or that love takes time? Does this show through in your writing? If so, how?
H.C.: For me it was love at first sight – I was 18 – three weeks later, we were married . . . still together.
I believe people feel a connection when they first meet . . .an instant attraction, that subtle pull that grabs the interest. I try to put that in my stories . . . the first impression, the first spark of awareness.
GRACEN: When reading stories, many of us find secondary characters to be as interesting as or more interesting than the main characters. Are there any secondary characters that you plan on giving their own story? Or any that readers have requested have their own story? Are any of them your favorites? Why?
H.C.: Nox is a favorite and he cameos in all the Pride Brother series. Who wouldn't love a seven feet tall faerie with an attitude? Most emails I get are about Nox, although the shape-shifter hero got a lot of mail. Which I love – it humbles me when fans take the time to write.
I've written a Free Read- A Taste of Nox – yes he will get his own story and it's going to push my fantasy world to the limit. I have his story outlined and it will be beautiful and very romantic . . . Nox deserves the best.
GRACEN: Of all of your heroes, who would you say is the most romantic and why?
H.C.: Prince Darrius of Knight Watch (Dare) my first shape-shifter. (Purr-fect Seduction) I made him a loveable romantic. Zandor in My Purr-fect Alphas is a bad boy who took the story and ran with it. I loved writing his story. In Savage Lust, Rio, the loner who loves and loses twice was a challenge. I wanted to jump into the pages and give him a hug.
Thank you for having me today!
BLURB:
Dr. Elizabeth Clark's life is turned upside down, when she is kidnapped by the Druiks, and taken to Druik Void, in a future realm. Caged like an animal, in a laboratory filled with humanoid specimens from other dimensions, she endures experimental surgery. Seduced by Zandor and Thryll, two very sexy shape-shifters trapped with her, she is persuaded to escape. Will Beth survive the frantic journey to the Gate and safety? Or,will she fall prey to the insatiable shifters?
EXCERPT:
The floodlights in the parking lot danced before her eyes and without another thought, she threw herself from the window, tumbling awkwardly backwards, but Zandor caught her, as if she were as light as a feather, and drew her to his chest.
"I have you, be calm, relax." He crooned and sprinted through the gate just as it began to close. She clung to his neck as he ran super fast around the iron fence and under a dark overhang where Thryll stood with the dune buggies.
"I'll guess we've only seconds before he raises the alarm. See if you can make these work or we'll have to run," said Thryll anxiously.
"You did well, Beth," purred Zandor. He dropped her gently to her feet and stood so close she could still feel the heat from his body.
Beth turned to the dune buggies. They used similar modes of transport in the complex where she worked, though these were much bigger and made to carry two people. They each held a solar panel along the back of the frame and large metal saddlebags on both sides. Leaning over one, she searched for a key in the ignition, and noticed a red button on the handlebar. Here goes nothing. She pressed it and the motor hummed into life. So far so good. She climbed into the seat and experimented with the controls.
"Okay, Thryll, jump on that one. Press the red button to start the engine. Right pedal is forward. When you want to stop, press the left pedal gently or you'll roll over. Let's go, we'll follow this road and bear left at the second intersection."
She glared at Zandor when his arms slipped around her waist, lifted her off the seat, and placed her behind Thryll. "You don't know how to drive one of these."
"Neither does Thryll, but we learn very quickly, precious one." He smiled a brilliant smile, slipped into the seat and stamped down on the accelerator shooting past them into the darkness.
SUPERNATURAL SUNDAY
Please help us welcome author, H.C. Brown. She’s the author of a newly released novel by Noble Romance Publishing, Purr-fect Seduction.
~~~~~

GRACEN: In the U.S., we celebrate Thanksgiving with a large feast (akin to early harvest celebrations), family gathering and in some cases, prayer. Do you have a similar holiday in your country? If so, what is it called and when do you celebrate it?

H.C.: We have Australia Day. Here it’s usually celebrated with a barbecue or a day out on the beach. It’s the only day gambling is allowed outside the normal venues, in the form of an old Aussie game called two-up. Two coins are tossed in the air and bets are made on the resulting heads or tails.

GRACEN: What, if any, holiday traditions (decorating, gathering with friends and family for a meal, etc.) do you have?

H.C.: We celebrate Christmas and have all the usual decorations. It’s hard to eat the traditional hot meal of turkey and plum pudding but we do even when the temperature is 100F outside.

GRACEN: What was your most memorable holiday and why?

H.C.: Last Easter was the first time I had all my children and grandchildren together for the first time.

GRACEN: If you were to have a Thanksgiving meal with us, which would you put on your plate: white or dark turkey, white potatoes or yams, green beans or corn, bread rolls or crescent rolls? (If you have other ideas for a Thanksgiving feast, please share them!)

H.C.: White turkey, white potatoes, and corn. Some Gluten Free items for me.

GRACEN: What, in your opinion, was the oddest food served at a holiday dinner you’ve attended?

H.C.: No food at all.

GRACEN: Tell us 3 things you are thankful for this year, please.

H.C.: 1. The safe arrival of my granddaughter after a great deal of worry.
2. My husband’s strength and devotion.
3. Having 4 books published

H.C. and her granddaughter

GRACEN: Just for fun, if you could be among any of the original members of that first Thanksgiving, who would it be, the Pilgrims or the Wampanoag (Native Americans)? Why?

H.C.: Well the Wampanoag as there's no way I would set foot on a ship after the first one sank!

GRACEN: Considering that feast, what do you think that first harvest celebration meal would be? What would the meal be if it happened in your country?

H.C.: Here no doubt Damper (bread baked without yeast over an open fire) and kangaroo steak. (Yuk! I have never eaten Kangaroo.)

Now, let’s get to your writing:

GRACEN: Why paranormal erotica? What’s the draw?

H.C.: Well Paranormal erotica is only a very small part of what I enjoy writing about to be honest. Paranormal allows my imagination to create heroes and villains in any shape or form my mind can create. I can build worlds to fit them in without any restrictions. Fantasy for me is the same; I enjoy writing erotic and YA fantasy romance, witches/warlocks and Faerie.

I also write murder mystery and I have just finished a manuscript with an Australian P.I as my heroine - with romance…all my books have romance.

Historical is one genre I love to write but my mind is working overtime with other genres and research takes up so much time. Hence, the fact I have an 80,000-word manuscript (about pirates and a highwayman in 1665) gathering dust waiting to be edited.

GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with a word or phrase, what would it be? What do you want readers to take with them when they've finished reading your story?

H.C.: Escapism. I try to take my readers to a world were anything is possible. I want my readers to ride a roller coaster of emotions when they read my stories, and sigh when they read the very last line.

GRACEN: Have you ever written holidays into your stories? If so, which ones and why?

H.C.: No not yet, perhaps a Valentine’s Day story…because everyone can enjoy it.

GRACEN: Who decides what you write about, you or your muse? What kind of influence do you have over your story, or is the muse always the one basting the turkey?

H.C.: The muse, trust me I’m only going along for the ride.

GRACEN: Have you ever based a character on a real-life person? If so, why? Was it simply to immortalize them or was there more to it than that? If you can, tell us the name of that person, please! We’re all curious here!

H.C.: Well to some degree, the story in Betrothed to the Enemy was based on a one-line message written in a prayer book, “I am to be given to a knight, God help me.” My ancestor Sir William D’Anise gave me the surname of Sir Damien in the story. The Muse gave me the rest.

GRACEN: What character did you have the most fun creating and why?

H.C.: I think creating the shape-shifter Knight Watch princes is the most interesting, brothers but all with unique personalities . I enjoyed creating Zandor, (My Purr-fect Alphas) a troubled bad boy; he gave me scope to delve into situations that are more erotic.

My favorite character is Nox the Faerie King. Who wouldn’t love a seven feet tall bisexual dark angel? He will be in all the Pride Brother Series with a story and/ or series just about him and the Fae in the works.

GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why? Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?

H.C.: Nox of course, I would just love to touch those silver tipped black gossamer wings. The one I’d hate to meet….well any of the Rams they have a body odor problem and horns… or the Druik doctor, Pic, in My Purr-fect Alphas (you would have to read the book to understand.)

BLURB: Purr-fect Seduction by H.C.Brown

Jill Morfran, a sassy redhead from New York is enjoying a photo shoot in the Scottish Highlands when she stumbles into an alternate realm. Trapped in a frightening world of strange humanoid creatures, her life turns upside down when a sinfully handsome shape shifter kidnaps her. Will she win Dare of Knight Watch’s heart or will he trade her for his sister at the next slave auction?

~WARNING - EXCERPT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL READERS~

EXCERPT: Purr-fect Seduction by H.C.Brown

The croaking frogs and the evening song of tropical birds serenaded them, and Dare’s powerful scent consumed her being, filling her with a frightening erotic desire. His gentle touch sent tongues of flames through her, awakening a longing in her she did not know existed. How long had she dreamed of finding a man who would hold her just like this? Who would desire her as much as she desired him? She craved his touch, and the realization both frightened and enthralled her. I’d give up everything, my family, my home . . . anything at all just to have him.

She caught her breath when his caressing hands moved slowly up to her breasts. She moaned as he cupped them, groaned when he rolled her taught nipples between his callused fingers, tugging them into hard peaks. His warm lips sucked at her earlobe, and when his hot tongue trailed down her neck, the delightful sensation sent shivers down her back.

“So sweet, so innocent . . . your heart flutters under my embrace. Let me teach you to fly, little dove.”

He rose and lifted her into his arms, turning her to face him. His warm hands snaked under her tunic, he captured her bare breast and she gasped. Warm tingles of pleasure engulfed her when his fingers pulled at her aching nipples. She pushed her breasts toward him, wanting more of this delightful sensation.

“My touch pleases you. Your skin is so soft, and your nipples call to me to suck them. Do you want more of me, little dove?”

Jill drew a deep, steadying breath. Decision time. Memories of a life spent alone—always a bride’s maid, never a bride—flashed through her mind. Hell, she decided. Life is too short, and a chance like this may never come again. “Yes, teach me everything.”

Jill pushed trembling fingers into the raven silk that framed his face and brushed her tongue across his bottom lip. A ripple went through his body and he made a growling sound.

“Everything? But you’re so innocent. Are you sure, little one?”

“Yes.”

He took her mouth fiercely, deeply. He tasted divine, hot, musky. His spicy tongue lashed the inside of her mouth, molding her to his will. His kisses became deeper; his warm hand teased a nipple while the other slid around her waist, enclosing her in sweet passion. Pulling him closer, she kissed him back, melting beneath his touch. She pushed against his fingers to ease her insatiable need. He pressed closer and the heat from his body burned her skin. His thick cock pushed into her stomach, pulsed against her skin, proof of his desire for her. She wanted this, wanted his touch, his lips, his body hard against her, deep inside her.

The cat inside Dare roared with pleasure as he lifted Jill into his arms and carried her into the cave. He bent to lay her gently on the sheepskin. Flames from the fire sent velvet shadows dancing across the walls, and the hot, spicy aroma from the stew hung faintly in the air. He removed her tunic, and tossed it to one side, and the sweet moan from her lips made him burn with desire for her. She laid before him, gloriously naked, all dewy-eyed innocence. Her skin looked so delicate in the fire’s glow. Damp curls framed her pink flushed cheeks and flowed across her shoulders in glistening gold highlights. The warm, luscious scent of female arousal surrounded him and his inner cat purred.

“Do you want me inside you, Jill, as your first?” he said huskily. He removed his loincloth, and lay down beside her. Her pure white breasts firmed under his touch, her deep red nipples reached toward him.

He wanted to taste her, to bury his tongue into her slick wet folds and suckle her hard pearl. He craved her, desiring only to drive her over the edge in insurmountable passion. He looked into her eyes but she showed no fear. Only need burned in those twin emerald pools, desperate need for him.

“I want you, Dare. I want you to touch me, to love me. Teach me how to love you.” She reached for him.

He took her lips again, sweet as spiced apples. She moaned in his mouth, and the delightful sound sent blood rushing to his cock with such speed his ears rang.

“Wrap my tunic around your neck. My cat is anxious, and I don’t want to bite you.”

He handed Jill the tunic, and she covered her neck. Dare slowly licked his way around each breast and purred. Her damp skin tasted sweet. The potent scent of aroused female surrounded him. He watched her as he scraped his fangs over each nipple before suckling hard. She looked so delicious, so wanton, writhing beneath his touch, but he must wait to plunge deep within her heat. He groaned as his cat demanded so much more. The need to bite, to sink his fangs into that tender white skin, threatened to overwhelm him. He craved to suck and savor her hot, sweet metallic blood. He looked up into her eyes, and she smiled so innocently and arched her back in a silent plea for more.

His control slipped, and his inner cat roared. Mine. Bite her. I need her. Now.
